Beacon Press, part of Pureprint Group, has printed 10,000 copies of the third edition of Mark Edwards’ Hard Rain: Our Headlong Collision with Nature. The book, first printed in 2006, makes a meaningful statement about climate change and the detrimental effect that humans have had on the planet.
Commenting on the reasons why he chose Beacon Press to bring Hard Rain to life, Mark Edwards says: “It was important for me to work with a printer that had an impeccable environmental record. I have worked with Beacon before and I knew their sales and production teams are of the very best quality. Beacon Press has completed a major print project for Christian Aid as part of their largest annual campaign, Christian Aid Week (CAW) 2007. The charity runs this high-profile campaign across a wide range of advertising media including outdoor, direct marketing and television.
Gilbert & George’s Complete Pictures exhibition took place at London’s Tate Modern between 15 February and 7 May 2007. Their Complete Pictures, printed by Beacon Press is one of the largest and most important art books to be printed in the UK in recent years. The book is comprised of two volumes, each of 620 pages with over 1,500 illustrations.
